The cleaning and removal of used refractory left in the ladle after the molten material has been poured
When molten steel or slag is poured out of the ladle, it leaves behind residual material that coats the refractory lining on the inside of the ladles and launders. To remove this residual material, without damaging the refractory lining or puncturing the ladle, requires specialist ladle-wrecking equipment. If a ladle has a worn refractory lining, our trained professionals remove the lining to the exact requirements of the refractory controller. This reduces costs from unnecessary refractory lining removal, and improves turnaround time. Keeping the ladles clean also ensures the quality of our customers’ steel.
